DALLAS — Dallas police are investigating after they say a man was shot at a gas station Wednesday.
Police responded to a shooting call at the intersection of W. Illinois Avenue and Duncanville Road shortly before 10:30 a.m. 8TV footage showed the scene at a Valero gas station.
A preliminary investigation determined a man was shot in the leg, and the man was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
The Dallas Independent School District confirmed to WFAA that a Molina High School student "who didn't report to school today was involved in an off-campus incident." The district didn't confirm the role the student played in the incident.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
