DALLAS — Dallas police have arrested a 46-year-old man for an attempted child abduction.

Police say that Sebastion Cervantes was asking girls to get in his car on the 9500 block of Military Parkway. Officers chased him down the street and arrested him.

A girl told Dallas police that Cervantes would watch kids get off the bus. Police call Cervantes' actions "aggressive."

He was driving away as officers arrived at the townhouses where he was trying to lure girls Wednesday, police said.

Cervantes was charged with multiple felonies: Unlawful restraint of a person less than 17 years old, a state jail felony; evading detention with a vehicle, a third-degree felony; and retaliation for threatening arresting officers, a third-degree felony.

Though Cervantes was jailed on $78,500 bond, police want more information. Cervantes has been arrested 20 times statewide and has multiple aliases. Police said Cervantes has used the names Alberto Martinez, Alberto Ramirez, Jose Zambrano and Rudolpho Zambrano in previous incidents.

At a media briefing Thursday, officers released a photo of Cervantes' car, a dark red Ford Escape, asking for the public's assistance in linking the car to any other potential incidents.

Dallas PD wants to know if Cervantes has tried to lure children in other parts of Dallas. He told police he does not live in the townhouses on Military Parkway.
