Man, 33, faces murder charge in fatal shooting outside Arlington apartment

Investigators believe Patrick Dewayne Williams and the victim, who has not been publicly identified, knew each other.

ARLINGTON, Texas — A 33-year-old man has been arrested in the slaying of a man found dead inside a truck early Friday at an Arlington apartment complex. 

Patrick Dewayne Williams was arrested by U.S. Marshals on a murder charge in connection with the death of a man found shot inside a truck. The truck was riddled with bullet holes and had crashed into other vehicles in the parking lot, police said. 

Investigators believe Williams and the victim, who has not been publicly identified, knew each other. They also believe the men had been in a "disturbance with one another" before the shooting. 

Williams fled on foot after the shooting, police said. 

Officers found the deceased man after responded to the shooting call around 1:34 a.m. in the 1900 block of Savoy Drive near Highway 360 and Lamar Boulevard, police officials said. 

Investigators are not releasing Williams' photo.
