Reward offered for information on a shooting that killed a 20-year-old man in Garland

GARLAND, Texas — Garland police are offering a reward that leads to an arrest of a suspect involved in a deadly shooting during the early morning of March 17.

According to a social media post from Garland PD, officials were called at the 4900 block of Captains Place just after 2 a.m.

Garland police and fire officials arrived to the scene and found one person who had been shot. Police said the victim, identified as 20-year-old Drevon Bowman of Dallas, died after he was taken to a hospital.

Garland police said the shooting happened after a "disturbance" at a party on Captains Place.

The department said they have obtained an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Kadarrion Kanard Scott of Mesquite, Texas. They are offering up to $5,000 for any information that leads to Scott's arrest.
