The former Department of Public Safety trooper who conducted two body cavity searches on the side of the road has now been indicted by a federal grand jury.
A dashcam video showed Trooper Kelly Helleson using the same latex glove to examine two women who had been pulled over.
Helleson was indicted on charges of sexual assault and official oppression.
Angel and Ashley Dobbs, the women who were searched, are suing two troopers and the DPS after saying they were publicly humiliated.
Helleson was fired, but is appealing that decision.
