Two suspects among three injured in shootout at Arlington recording studio, police say

Police said the man went to another business to ask for help. The suspects were sent to hospitals after a car chase, according to police.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Three men were sent to a hospital in connection with a shooting in Arlington Saturday night, according to police. Officials said two of the men will be facing charges for the shooting once they recover.

Police tell WFAA that they got a call at about 10:25 p.m. in the 800 block of East Lamar Boulevard. Officials said employees at a shopping center called about a man who showed up to their store with a gunshot wound and asked for help.

According to Arlington PD, the man said he was making music at a recording studio in the 2100 block of North Collins Street when two masked men came in and started shooting. The victim said he fired back with his own weapon and he might've shot both men.

Police said the man was sent to a hospital and is expected to recover.

While some officers were heading toward the studio, police said they got a tip on a stolen vehicle that was seen leaving the same location. Police believed the vehicle was tied to the shooting, so they tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver kept going.

Police said they chased the vehicle until it came to a stop in the 1500 block of Northeast Green Oaks Boulevard. That's when they said they found two men in the vehicle with gunshot wounds.

The men were identified by police as 30-year-old Kinton Jones and 52-year-old George Duncan.

Police said Duncan is in the ICU as of Sunday afternoon. Jones is expected to recover.

According to APD, police found guns and a face mask from the vehicle. Investigators believe Jones and Duncan were the suspects in the studio shooting.

Once they recover, police said Jones will be charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Evading and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Officials said he'll also be charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon due to his previous felony convictions.

Duncan will be charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Investigators believe the shooting was connected to "high-risk drug activity" due to evidence at the scene.
