Allen SWAT team serve six warrants, arrest wanted woman after suspect barricaded herself in attic, police say

Attempts to contact Lul Top, the suspect, and negotiate with her were unsuccessful. After an hour of trying, chemical agents were deployed, police say.

ALLEN, Texas — SWAT team members served six warrants and arrested a wanted woman after she barricaded herself in the attic, according to the Allen Police Department.

A little before 9 a.m. Monday, the Allen Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team served six felony warrants and arrested a wanted person in the 1500 Block of Tanglewood Drive in Allen. This is north of Plano East Senior High School and southeast of Allen High School.

The SWAT team served six felony “Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon” warrants at the house.

Police say 36-year-old Lul Top resided in the building and had those six felony warrants issued for her arrest. When the SWAT team entered her Top's home, she reportedly went into the attic and barricaded herself. Attempts to contact Top, the suspect, and negotiate with her were unsuccessful. After an hour of trying, chemical agents were deployed, police say. A little before 11 a.m., Top reportedly surrendered and was taken into custody.

Allen police say the department has been to this residence before and her children have been with Texas Child Protective Services (CPS) and were not at the residence at the time of her arrest.

Top is a known offender, with a criminal history in Collin County, including domestic violence, protective orders and misdemeanors.

It is not known at this time what the aggravated assault charges are connected to.

Top will be transported to the Collin County Jail where she will be held on a $600,000 bond.

This is a developing story. We will provide more information as it is provided.
