DALLAS — 9:13 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 16 UPDATE:
DART service has resumed at Cityplace/Uptown Station, DART spokesman Morgan Lyons said.
There is still no update on the condition of the person shot. DART Police are still searching for a shooter.
The operating theory right now is the shooting happened as the result of "an altercation on the mezzanine between a group of males," Lyons said.
EARLIER:
One person was injured in a shooting at the Cityplace/Uptown DART station in Dallas on Wednesday evening, officials said.
The shooting happened about 5:30 p.m. on the mezzanine level at the station, which is a level above the train platform, DART spokesman Morgan Lyons said. The Cityplace/Uptown station is a tri-level subway station below North Central Expressway, between Haskell and Lemmon avenues.
The victim's condition was unknown. Police were still searching for a shooter, Lyons said.
Trains were operating as normal, but riders weren't allowed to get on or get off at Cityplace.
