Yes, those were goats wandering the streets of Arlington on Tuesday morning

A herd of goats escaped an enclosure at the Crystal Canyon Natural Area and took to the neighborhood streets.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington residents woke up to some unruly neighbors roaming the streets Tuesday morning. At least they looked kind of cute.

A herd of goats escaped an enclosure at the Crystal Canyon Natural Area and took to the neighborhood streets, officials said.

Officers responded around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to reports of the goats wandering free in a neighborhood near Brown Boulevard and Winding Hollow Lane. Arlington officials said the city had partnered with Open Space Development to bring hundreds of goats to Crystal Canyon to help clear underbrush and invasive plants from the park and reduce fire danger in the area.

When officers got the call about the escaped goats, they began working with Open Space to start wrangling the goats. Police had to shut down part of Brown Boulevard as they got the goats herded together.

The good news? All of the goats were ultimately accounted for, and and none were hurt, city officials said.

We also got these somewhat funny images of the goats wandering wherever they want, seemingly without a care in the world, via Arlington police;
