FORT WORTH, Texas — Police are looking for a suspect in connection to a deadly New Year's Day shooting in Fort Worth.

Officers tell WFAA that the shooting happened in the 1000 block of Barclay Avenue. Records show they got a call shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday.

When police got there, they say they found a man with gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The victim has not been identified.

Detectives believe the man and the shooting suspect had an "ongoing argument" and the victim came to continue the argument when he was shot.

Records show that a SWAT team was called to the scene, but they were cleared at around 8 a.m. since the suspect wasn't there.

No other information is available at this time.
