Prescott's SEC foundation helps his prep for hostile environment

Playing in a loud road game is nothing new for Dak Prescott.

"Pretty much any SEC road game was loud," Prescott said. "I'm excited for it though. I love road games. It's kind of you vs. the world in there. So I'm excited for it."

But this is the NFL. It will be different for the rook.

"I think it's important for everyone to relay as much knowledge and information as they can, but also be careful not to drown the quarterback in information and experience," Cowboys center Travis Frederick said.

And it only complicates matters, that Prescott's first road game comes against bitter rival, Washington.

"For the fans, it's a hate rival, between the two," Prescott said. "So everybody wants those bragging rights, and want to win both games every year. So we're going to go in and try to get this first one."

Prescott has shown, though, the poise necessary to handle a hostile environment. What's a bigger concern, is him getting the football to his top target, Dez Bryant.

But Dak is just fine being diplomatic with the football.

"He had some balls thrown at him. He wants to bring 'em down, and he'd say he wants to bring down that touchdown, he wants to make that play. I think if he has that, regardless of two catches or not, he has a touchdown, I don't know if we're still talking about this. So, we're going to continue to run our offense. And if Dez is the read, Dez is the read."

Does that sound like a rookie to you?

Me neither.

We'll see how he handles the road on Sunday.
