Activist Shaun King was in Fort Worth Tuesday for scheduled speaking engagements in the area and arranged to meet with Jacqueline Craig, the mother from the controversial police arrest video.
Shaun King, a journalist with New York Daily News and has been very vocal on social media regarding the Fort Worth police incident and the arrest of Craig and her daughter on Dec. 21.

Craig called police to report that a neighbor had choked her 8-year-old son, but when Fort Worth officer William Martin arrived on scene, the situation escalated and Martin placed Craig and her daughter under arrest.
Cellphone video from the incident was posted on Facebook.
It shows a woman telling a Fort Worth officer that a neighbor choked her 8-year-old son because the man said he threw paper on the ground. The first question from the officer is, "Why don't you teach your son not to litter?"
When King saw the video, he immediately took to social media where it quickly went viral.
Months later, King and Craig set up time to meet and speak exclusively with WFAA.

Craig says she feels hurt and her healing has yet to begin.
"At that moment, he took everything from me and my kids," Craig said.
King says he's spoken with several Fort Worth police officers and they are "deeply disturbed by this."
Craig's attorney, Lee Merritt was also present for the meeting.
"If they want us to go away, just provide the basic modicums of justice, you know, just provide justice," Merritt said.
Craig says she just wants closure at this point and to be able to move on with her children.
"That's why I'm determined to get justice because I don't want another mother to have to sit where I'm sitting." Craig said. "Having to feel what I feel is not fair."
