No injuries reported in southeast Dallas apartment complex fire

It took 50 firefighters two hours to extinguish the blaze, the cause of which is undetermined at this time.

It took about 50 Dallas firefighters to extinguish an apartment fire Sunday night in southeast Dallas.

According to Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson Jason Evans, the 911 call for a structure fire at 8038 Chariot Drive went out at 5:19 p.m., when onlookers saw flames going through the roof of an apartment building.

A total of 28 apartment units were in the building. No injuries were reported, and all residents were removed from the apartment complex and were assisted by the American Red Cross, Evans wrote.

The fire was extinguished around 7:20 p.m., Evans wrote.

The cause of this fire is undetermined.
