(Update: 2:25) An alleged domestic assault in North Richland Hills resulted in a police chase and standoff for several hours in north Fort Worth on Saturday afternoon, police said.
Officers had responded to a report of the assault in the 7400 block of Northeast Loop 820 just before 11 a.m.
The suspect, Nichola Hoefer, 26, of Euless, fled the scene and led police on a chase to the 2200 block of Jacksboro Highway in Fort Worth, police said.
After officers saw that Hoefer had a handgun, Fort Worth SWAT units were called to the scene. The SWAT officers took Hoefer into custody without incident about 2 p.m.
No one was injured in the incident.
