Tour of Toyota Music Factory in Irving

Irving City Council says they anticipate a surge in visitors, up by 10 percent and two hotels will be built adjacent to the Toyota Music Factory.

The Toyota Music Factory, developed by the ARK Group, will open 11 more restaurants that include six concepts from Big Beat Dallas, by the end of March.

Noah Lazes, the President of the ARK Group said the venue has been opening in stages in the last few months, and there are two grand opening celebrations for the public to attend.

"We are so excited and honored to be a part of the fabric of Irving and create an entertainment and lifestyle district for Irving," said Lazes.

The Toyota Music Factory has a price tag of more than $200 million with 500,000 square feet for mixed-use entertainment in a lifestyle complex located in the Las Colinas Urban Center in Irving.

The Pavilion is the centerpiece, which converts into an amphitheater for 8,000 people. Construction crews are still working on the Texas Lottery Plaza and other surrounding areas.

"It's a very complex project. It's a public-private partnership and anytime you work with the city, there are a lot of things to coordinate," said Lazes. "It's been a long process, but one that has turned out very well."

Katherine DiPietro and her co-worker Kelly Roche work at Visitor’s Bureau in the Irving Convention Center. They say the Toyota Music Factory will finally attract people to Irving.

"The question we've been asked for many, many years is what is there to do in Irving and is there anything within walking distance," said DiPietro. "We needed this, and now we are working on rebranding Irving as a tourist destination."

"This is definitely an experience because of the music venues, the restaurants and Big Beat Dallas," said Roche.

Big Beat Dallas is a location circulating a lot of buzz. BBD has six venues who are under one liquor license to allow guest the opportunity to drink and mingle within a gated outdoor lawn.
