Gusty showers and storms tonight!

After windy showers and storms tonight, cold air returns tomorrow!

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The main forecast concern is the potential for severe weather later tonight. Although the risk is on the low end (level 1 of 5), the potential still exists for heavy rain and high damaging wind gusts. Hail and tornado risks are very small, but not zero.

Rain ends by sunrise tomorrow with temperatures tumbling behind a cold front that moves by before sunrise. Expect temperatures tomorrow afternoon only in the upper 30s to low 40s with west-northwesterly winds 15-25 miles per hour. That will make it feel like the 20s much of the day. The afternoon will be sunny.

Drier weather Thursday and Friday before rain returns Saturday. Sunday is trending drier, but more widespread rain looks likely for next Monday and Tuesday.

TONIGHT: Showers and storms likely. Isolated damaging wind gusts. Low: 36° Wind: SW 15-30 mph. Gusts up to 35 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Cold sunshine, breezy. High: 42° Wind: W 15-30 mph.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and chilly. High: 44° Wind: Light E.
