DALLAS — This weekend will feel more like March than mid-April! Definitely cool and not what we are used to this time of year.
Sunshine returns Sunday!
After a chilly start with morning temps bottoming out in the upper 30s to low 40s, afternoon temps will be warmer than Saturday, but still below normal for this time of year.
Mostly sunny skies will allow temps to warm into the upper 60s in most places. A few lucky locations may even hit 70° by the mid to late afternoon.
Temperatures stay below normal all week, but they do go up and down a bit.
Another front will arrive on Tuesday (no rain with this one) bringing another shot of cool air to North Texas. Highs on Wednesday will be back in the 60s, and we'll even be watching for patchy frost Wednesday morning as well.
Rain stays away from North Texas until late in the week. An approaching storm system could bring a few shower to the area on Thursday, but better chances for showers and storms look to be on Friday.
It's too early to know if severe weather is something we need to worry about on Friday. However, it is mid to late April, and you should always be staying weather aware this time of year. Stay tuned for updates!
