Summer cool-down has arrived!

Our long anticipated summer cold front has arrived, and will bring a brief but welcome break from the summer heat.

Have you stepped outside yet?

The cooler air has settled in this morning and it will feel downright pleasant as you head out the door! Morning temps started off about 15 to 20 degrees cooler than Monday morning.

Afternoon high temps will be much better as well. Even with sunshine, highs will top out in the 80s areawide, which will be below normal for this point in the summer.

Cool-down does not last long

Unfortunately, our relief from the heat does not last long.

By Wednesday afternoon temps will be back in the 90s and upper 90s will return for Thursday and Friday.

Humidity will be around as well making it feel hotter than the actual temp on all of those days. Heat index values for second half of the week will likely be above 100°.
