Scattered storms tonight then cold for everyone this weekend

We do know one thing: It'll be COLD this weekend.

TODAY:

Don't cancel your Friday evening or night plans. Scattered storms move into North Texas from around 6pm to midnight.

T-storms will be scattered, so not everyone will see rain or storms. A storm or two could become strong to severe with wind and hail, but the overall severe risk is low.

Best chances for rain/storms are from DFW to the east. Western parts of North Texas may not see any rain or storms.

THE WEEKEND:

Late tonight into Saturday a strong cold front will make its way through North Texas. This will cause falling temps and much colder weather for the weekend.

Saturday morning to around midday there may be enough moisture left over behind the front for some flurries or light wintry mix for the northern parts (mainly along the Red River) of North Texas.

Things to keep in mind:

1) Flurries or snow is not guaranteed.

2) IF it does occur, accumulations are not likely.

3) Enjoy it if you see it, but don't count on it.

WFAA RADARS
