The rains have come to an end here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, though a couple of tiny showers could pop late in the afternoon.

We saw about an 80 percent coverage of the rain (which, of course, means that about 20 percent of us did not see a single drop as indicated by the holes in the rainfall pattern).

It is difficult to get a 100 percent coverage this time of year, especially without a large tropical system.

Rainfall amounts ranged from just a trace to locally near three inches (east of Bonham) with a significant portion of the area receiving over an inch.
