Showers and scattered storms are possible through Saturday

The highest storm chances will be mainly north of Interstate 20, and could bring small hail, gusty winds, and brief, heavy rain.

It will be seasonably hot and humid Friday with highs in the upper 90s and a Heat Index around 102° this afternoon. 

A few showers and storms are also possible especially in areas along the Red River. Severe weather is not likely however the stronger storms may produce small hail and gusty winds.

Scattered showers and storms will increase in coverage on Saturday afternoon as a front pushes a little farther south into North Texas. 

Again severe weather is not expected, but small hail, gusty winds and brief heavy rain will be possible with stronger storms. Temperatures will only be in the low-mid 90s but, it will be humid as the Heat Index climbs to close to 103°. 

Rain chances decrease on Sunday and temperatures begin to climb, with highs back in the upper 90s and a Heat Index around 106°.
