List: Cancellations and closings due to severe weather

The looming severe weather has forced several North Texas cities and school districts to cancel events.

The looming severe weather has forced several North Texas cities and school districts to cancel events or close off areas. See our list below:

Allen ISD: After-school and evening events canceled.

Arlington ISD: All after-school activities are canceled. On-campus after school care will operate as normal.

Carroll ISD: After-school events canceled Tuesday.

Dallas ISD: All district evening activities beginning after 7 p.m. are canceled.

Duncanville ISD: After-school activities canceled on Tuesday.

Fort Worth ISD: Some baseball games are canceled and will be moved to Wednesday. The following games will still be played Tuesday and should be done by 7 p.m.:

  • Lake Dallas plays at Dunbar High School at 3:45 p.m.
  • Alvarado will play at Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School at 5 p.m. (originally 7 p.m.)
  • Trimble Tech High School still travels to Arlington Heights High School – 5 p.m. (originally 7 p.m.)
  • South Hills will face Southwest High School – 5 p.m. (originally 7 p.m.)

Frisco ISD: All after-school and evening activities are canceled. AlphaBest and YMCA will continue as scheduled.

Grand Prairie ISD: All middle school soccer games scheduled for Tuesday have been canceled due to the inclement weather forecast.

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD: All activities scheduled for 5 p.m. and later. KidzU parents are encouraged to pick up children by 5:30 p.m. if possible. Kindergarten registration events for Bear Creek, Cannon, Colleyville Elementary, Dove, OC Taylor and Timberline Elementaries are canceled. Parents should contact their campus about rescheduling.

Keller ISD: All evening campus activities after 6 p.m. canceled.

Lake Dallas ISD: All evening activities canceled.

Lewisville ISD: After-school and evening events and practices are canceled. District facilities and programs are still on schedule until 6:30 p.m.

Lovejoy ISD: Middle school soccer games canceled and moved to Wednesday, April 27.

Mansfield ISD: After-school and athletic activities canceled. After-school child care programs will go on as scheduled. The MISD school board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the MISD Center for Performing Arts.

Mesquite ISD: Time changes:

  • North Mesquite vs. Lake Highland and Mesquite vs. Richardson Varsity baseball games will be played two hours earlier than scheduled at 5 p.m.
  • Poteet vs. North Forney has been moved to 4:30 p.m.
  • Pearce vs. Horn will be played at 4 p.m.
  • Forney vs. West Mesquite is still scheduled for 7 p.m. but officials will be monitoring weather conditions.

Northwest ISD: All evening activities have been canceled, including the Northwest ISD Art Show at the Administration Building. You can attend the show on April 28 at 6 p.m.

Plano ISD: All afternoon and evening activities have been canceled.

Richardson ISD: Junior high soccer games canceled for Tuesday. Baseball games times have been moved up -- check with your school for new times. District Summer School registration at the Professional Development Center will conclude this evening at 6:30 p.m. Parent Education presented by Special Student Services at the Professional Development Center is cancelled. Schools will notify parents directly if any school-specific events are impacted by the weather forecast for this evening.

Texas Wesleyan University: Evening classes and activities after 6 p.m. are canceled.

City of Stephenville: City Park gates will close at 3 p.m.
