Western Washington Forecast

After a warm and hazy start to the week, Tuesday will bring continued haze and slight cooling. Real changes move in midweek with cooler temps and rain chances.

Clear skies hang around tonight with smoke haze. Expect some clouds late. Lows will drop between the low to mid 50s, with light winds. Another sunny day Tuesday with more smoke haze as air quality remains moderate for most. Highs will top off in the mid to upper 70s.

Light offshore flow has set us in a temporarily stagnant pattern. Expect a few clouds to form after after midnight which will linger into the start of Tuesday.

An area of high pressure sitting along the west coast will give us yet again, a sunny and warm afternoon for across Washington state Tuesday.

The offshore winds are also pushing some of the Bolt Creek wildfire smoke out into western Washington. This should keep air quality moderate near the Cascades foothills in parts of Snohomish, King, and Peirce counties, but it should improve for most places out along the coast with onshore flow picking up Tuesday evening.

Tuesday will see a few more clouds and cool about 3-6 degrees from Monday. However, look for bigger changes on Wednesday as a weakening cold front pushes into western Washington for a chance of showers and cooler temps dropping back to the 60s everywhere.

Good news for the weekend, though! High pressure begins to build back in again on Friday and over the weekend for warming temperatures with highs Saturday and Sunday back into the mid to upper 70s!
