A 2.8-magnitude earthquake hit near Irving Sunday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed.
Sunday's quake hit at 6:27 p.m. and was centered near the Las Colinas Country Club, three miles north-northwest of Irving (32.860 N, 96.955 W)
It had a depth of 3.1 miles, according to the USGS.
The tremor hit almost exactly 24 hours after a 2.1-magnitude earthquake shook the same area Saturday.
At 6:44 p.m. Saturday, the small quake hit with an epicenter along Luna Road just off Northwest Highway near Irving. Both quakes were centered less than two miles from the Irving Convention Center.
The USGS has confirmed at least 79 earthquakes in North Texas since the start of 2015.
