Are you hoping for some rain soon?

The start to November has been dry with no rain for the Dallas-Fort Worth area so far, and this puts us slightly below normal.

It isn't a surprise, because the Climate Prediction Center has forecasted below normal precipitation for the month of November across the entire state of Texas.

Precipitation Outlook for November

The fall has been relatively dry overall and we are a little more than an inch and a half below normal for precipitation since Sept. 1.

But, when looking at the year as a whole, we are still well above normal for rainfall since Jan.1.

DFW Airport has seen 39.62 inches of rain since Jan. 1. That's more than 7 inches above normal.

South winds will increase today into the 20 mph range and there is an elevated fire danger mainly west of Hwy. 281. Otherwise sunny skies with highs reaching the mid-upper 70's.
