December starts with first freeze after 277 days

The first official freeze of the season kicked off the month of December.

It's official. 

The temperature dropped to 32 degrees on Monday night at 11:46, which is the first official freeze of the season.  

It had been 277 days since the last freeze and considered later than normal. The first Dallas-Fort Worth freeze usually occurs by Nov. 22. 

The last freeze probably feels like it was last year. It was on Feb. 27.
