DALLAS — It was nice while it lasted!

Most of this past week saw temps well below normal for what is typically the hottest time of the summer.

Friday will still be a little below normal, but temps are going up as we end the workweek and head into the weekend.

Friday

Firstly, we NO LONGER have an Ozone Action Day in effect.

It will still be mostly sunny and hot.

Our breeze will be a little stronger today, and that will help disperse pollutants in and around the D-FW area.

With mostly sunny skies, temps will climb into the 90s area-wide through the afternoon.

With humidity not going anywhere, heat index values will be a few degrees above the actual temperature.

This weekend into next week

Back to normal.

Highs this weekend will be around what we expect for August and heat index values will climb as well. Through the weekend into next week heat index values will likely reach 105°-106° and those Heat Advisories could make a return to parts of North Texas as well.
