DC Police: Lanes open on Sousa Bridge after tractor-trailer crash

Police say the accident happened just after 6:45 p.m. Thursday evening.

WASHINGTON — All lanes on the John Philip Sousa Bridge near the I-295 overpass are back open after a tractor-trailer crash, according to D.C. Police.

Police say the accident happened just after 6:45 p.m. Thursday evening. DC Police cleared traffic off the bridge as DDOT helped with traffic control in the area.

Drivers had to wait in long traffic lines near the bridge because of the crash.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
