Eastbound I-30 in Dallas was closed Thursday morning after a crash involving an SUV and a fire truck.
Authorities say a Dallas-Fire Rescue truck was struck by an SUV at I-30 and Winslow around 3:25 a.m. The SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed, authorities said.
The fire truck was parked after responding to another crash in the area when the SUV hit it. All firefighters are reportedly fine but the female driver of the SUV was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Katelyn Buis was charged with a DWI and was released at the hospital for further medical attention. Authorities say she was under the influence of alcohol.
