Mesquite police looking for information on Sunday morning drive-by shooter

The Mesquite Police Department is looking for help finding a shooter who injured a Mesquite woman Sunday.

Mesquite Police say a 46-year-old woman asleep in her bed in a townhome on the 2600 block of Franklin Drive was shot in the head by a bullet around 1:50 a.m. Sunday. Police were called to the location on a drive-by shooting call. Police say multiple gunshots were fired into three adjacent townhomes, one of which was the injured woman's. She is not believed to be the target of the shooting.

The injured woman was transported to a Dallas hospital and is in serious condition.
