We'll catch a break Friday from the sweltering heat and humidity. Highs only in the upper 80's to low 90's. Drier air settles in and will make for a "comfortable" afternoon.
It heats up and becomes more humid on Saturday. The heat index will again top out over 100°. An isolated shower or storm is also possible as tropical Storm Barry tracks through Louisiana. Any organized bands of rain/storms should be confined to East Texas over the weekend.
