Three spellers from North Texas brought home the championship title of the 92nd edition of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
The winners also share the title with five others after all eight of them successfully completed the 20th round and correctly spelled the final 47 words.
The three winners attend schools in North Texas: Rohan Raja of Irving; Sohum Sukhatankar of Dallas; and Abhijay Kodali of Flower Mound.
The champions were interviewed Friday on ABC's Good Morning America. One champion said that all the hard work and preparation was worth it, and he would compete again.
Another called each other "octo-champs." When asked about what the winners will do with the grand prize of $50,000, all of them said they are saving the money for college.
