SPRINGTOWN, Texas — Springtown Police have made three arrests in a food tampering case after they discovered three former employees of a local pizza joint "put Miralax on at least one pizza and it was unknowingly eaten by another employee," according to a statement.

Miralax is a laxative.

Arrests were made Wednesday, but the incident happened on April 19.

After the incident, the owner of Mr. Jim's Pizza was called to the scene, as was the City of Springtown Health Inspector. The sick employee received medical treatment, and the former employees denied tampering with the food.

The restaurant was shut down until Monday, when further investigation happened.

Springtown Police have not released the names of the former employees who were arrested because they are all minors. They were arrested for a Class A misdemeanor assault.
