GRAPEVINE, Texas — Grapevine police are investigating the cause of a crash that left two people dead Friday night. Police say it happened just after 7 p.m. on the eastbound SH-114 service road at Main Street. 

Witnesses told police a Hyundai Elantra was speeding when it crashed into a Mazda 3 that was stopped at a traffic light. 

Police say the driver of the Mazda was able to get out of the vehicle, but Grapevine fire officials had to extricate the two passengers. 

First responders took the four people involved in the crash to the hospital. 

The two passengers that were in the Mazda were pronounced dead at the hospital. The victims have been identified as 65-year-old Patricia Nealy and 62-year-old Craig Nealy of Odessa. 

Police say the drivers of both vehicles were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators are working to determine if there are any other factors that may have contributed to the crash. At this time, no charges have been filed.
