ARLINGTON — It's not an everyday sight in North Texas, especially in the city neighborhoods.
A young bull was loose for four hours. Arlington police told News 8 the slow-speed pursuit started at about 4:45 p.m. Monday.
"There was a cow walking down the neighborhood," said neighbor Jillyan Nance.
For the most part, the bull was not running, but casually walking and taking stops to munch on the grass. Police vehicles slowly inched along behind. The pursuit went through portions of Arlington, Dalworthington Gardens, and other nearby areas.
"It trotted down my home and cut across our yard into our neighbors yard," Nance said.
Police say the young bull was never aggressive, but it didn't take long before it quickly turned into spectacle. People were posting pictures and video on social media.
The slow speed pursuit lasted nearly four hours before a nearby rancher stepped in and got the bull in Dalworthington Gardens at about 8:38 p.m.
Authorities didn't detail who owns the bull.
