DALLAS -- A man was rescued early Monday morning after nearly crashing into Eagle Mountain Lake.
The driver, in his 50s or 60s, suffered a broken leg after the accident, which occurred at about 1 a.m. on Southeast 14th Street near Skyline Road.
The vehicle took out a guardrail and went through trees, into the water, police said.
The Dallas Police Department's Air One helicopter searched the area but didn't find any passengers or other cars in the area.
Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the crash.
The Grand Prairie Police Department is assisting.
