A large fire engulfed a home on the edge of Lake Lewisville in Highland Village on Saturday.
The fire happened at a home in the 3000 block of Lake Creek Drive in the Highland Shores development on the southwest side of the lake, according to Highland Village officials.
No one was home when the fire started. The home appeared to be a total loss. Officials were still investigating the cause of the fire.
A video sent to WFAA from a witness showed large flames and heavy smoke shooting through the roof of the home.
