Father's Day forecast: Hot and humid with a chance for showers

There is a chance for some pop-up showers or storms this afternoon and into this evening. Timing would be from around 2-8 p.m.

Happy Father's Day to any dads out there! Every dad and everyone for that matter will be hot and humid today. Highs in the low to mid 90s, but it will feel like at or above 100° for most. If you have any outdoor plans, have a way to stay cool and stay hydrated!

There is a chance for some pop-up showers or storms this afternoon and into this evening. Timing would be from around 2-8 p.m. Once we lose the heat of the day, most showers or storms will end. Coverage of those showers or storms will not be high everywhere. Highest coverage will be south and east of DFW mainly across East Texas and farther south. However, isolated showers and storms are possible in and around DFW. Not everyone will see rain.

Severe storms are very unlikely. If you find yourself underneath a thunderstorm, heavy rain is likely and some gusty winds are possible. Mainly just you typical summertime t-storms.

Scattered showers and storms will be possible each day during the upcoming week. Each day won't be a soaker or washout, but passing showers or storms are possible. Highest coverage of rain will continue to be southern North Texas with lesser coverage for northern North Texas. With increased clouds and moisture, everyone will see "cooler" temps this week. Highs in the upper 80s and low 90s are likely most of the week. That means temps will finally be at or even below normal again!
