DENTON COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Rangers are investigating after Denton County deputies shot and killed a 61-year-old man.

The man went to a house with a gun and threatened the people in the home. That's when deputies were called Saturday to the 600 block of Boswell Crossing, said officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

When deputies arrived, they said the man pointed a gun at them. Deputies shot and killed the man, DPS officials said.

No one else was injured.

The suspect's name hasn't been released.
