Dallas officer vehicle rear-ended on Highway 175 service road

It's unknown if the other driver will face charges.

July 12, 2019: Dallas police vehicle rear-ended.

DALLAS — A crash on Highway 175 service road injured a Dallas police officer and two others Friday morning. 

It happened in the eastbound lanes of the 12400 block of CF Hawn Freeway. Two Dallas police officers were in a patrol vehicle with a prisoner in the back seat when another vehicle rear-ended them. The officers were waiting for a tow truck to arrive and tow the prisoner's vehicle. 

Officer had an injury to his leg, but did not need to be sent to the hospital. The prisoner and the driver of the other vehicle were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It's unknown if the other driver will face charges.
