DALLAS — Dallas and Mesquite police ended up in knee-deep water Monday morning to catch a suspect who led them on a chase.
Police said the driver sped away from a routine traffic stop on Interstate 20 in Mesquite. The driver made a break for it in southern Dallas in a creek, north of Red Bird Lane.
Police said they later caught the driver about an hour later.
