MESQUITE, Texas — Updated at 8:37 a.m.
Multiple lanes are blocked on westbound Interstate 30 at Galloway Avenue and I-635 in Mesquite. Drivers were being forced off at Northwest Drive. Three of the main lanes were blocked and one lane was reopened.
This is causing heavy delays. Tashara Parker says an alternate route is to take N. Belt Line Road to Oates Drive, then get back on I-30.
It's unclear what is causing the backup, but some areas in North Texas are experiencing slick roads due to some rain earlier this morning.
