DALLAS — Three people are dead after a fiery crash on I-30 near the Lawnview Avenue exit early Wednesday morning.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Office said a vehicle was speeding in the eastbound lanes on I-30 when it clipped an 18-wheeler, causing it to land on its side and spill fuel onto the road.

The other vehicle ended up down the road, where it caught fire, killing all three passengers.

The road remains shut down between Dolphin and Ferguson roads as several agencies investigate. They estimate the road to reopen at about 10 a.m. Drivers can use Military Parkway or Highway 352 as alternate routes.
