Wheels and tires on 48 vehicles stolen from Tyler car dealership

Police are investigating the theft of wheels and tires from 48 new cars at a local car dealership on August 21.

According to Tyler Police, surveillance video shows that the suspects entered the secured fence of Peltier Chevrolet around 1 a.m. on August 21, then removed the wheels and tires from 48 vehicles. The suspects left the vehicles on blocks.

The estimated value of loss is over $250,000.

The police say that evidence indicates this may be a professional ring of thieves that strike dealerships all over the state.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
