ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington Police say last Thursday morning, a young woman robbed the BBVA Compass Bank on Cooper Street and Sublett Road.
"[The robber] presented a teller with a note," said Steven Bartolotta with Arlington Police. "It was a threatening note, demanding money."
APD tweeted out images of the suspect around 9:00 Monday morning to help solve the case. Little did they know how quickly that suspect would be on their radar again.
Fort Worth Police say around 11:00 Monday morning, a young woman robbed $2,000 from a Chase Bank on Ramey Avenue, then shortly after tried to rob a BBVA Compass Bank on Hulen Street.
And when the images of the Fort Worth suspect came out, "our detectives quickly saw hey, this is the same suspect, we know this is the same person," Bartolotta said.
The suspect is highly recognizable, police say, with red and brown streaked hair. Fort Worth Police believe she has a tattoo over one of her eyes.
"They did use the same threatening type of note," Bartolotta said of the other cases. "And for us, when you look at this, this is three banks in five days. It's pretty aggressive. It's pretty brazen."
If you see her, don't approach: just call 911.
"The suspect has done this three times in less than a week, that's a lot," Bartolotta said.
And police don't want that number to go any higher.
