FORT WORTH, Texas — Police are asking for the public's help as they investigate a series of robberies aimed at Fort Worth businesses.

According to police, two men have targeted three businesses within a three-week period.

Authorities said the string of robberies began on March 29, when at about 10:30 p.m., two men in dark hoodies and black stocking masks entered a Shell Station at 1401 Cooks Lane. The men were armed with a small rifle and pistol.

One of the suspects held employees at gunpoint and demanded money from the cashier while the other guarded the door. The two men then put the money in a backpack and fled the scene, according to police.

The second incident took place just before 9 p.m. on March 31. Men, who matched the same descriptions from the previous robbery, entered the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store off Mansfield Highway. Once again, the employees were held at gunpoint and the men demanded money, which was then placed into a backpack.

Police said the robbers fled the scene in a late 90's or early 2000’s model of a silver vehicle, possibly a Ford Taurus.

An attempted robbery also took place at 9 p.m. on April 14. According to police, the same suspects tried to enter another O’Reilly Auto Parts location, but the store was closed and the doors locked.

The last reported robbery occurred two days later at about 11:40 p.m. Authorities said the same men entered the Quick Stop Food Mart located at 3116 Belknap Street. A similar routine occurred at this location as the suspects were armed, demanded money and fled, this time on foot.

Anyone who has information on the incidents is asked to call 817-392-4377.
