DALLAS — Aqib Talib, of the Denver Broncos, was among three shot at a Dallas night club early Sunday morning, according to sources.
Talib was transported to Medical City Dallas Hospital. According to Patrick Smyth, a spokesman with the broncos, Talib was shot in the leg and is OK. The conditions and identities of the other two victims are unknown. It's also unknown if there were any arrests made in connection to the shooting.
Sources say the shooting occurred at the Vlive club, located in the 1300 block of Empire Central Drive.
In April of 2015, Talib and his brother, Yaqub, were investigated by Dallas police for their alleged involvement in an aggravated assault incident at Club Luxx. A police report alleged the brothers got into a physical altercation with a third person and that a Luxx employee fired a gun into the air to break up the fight.
Authorities dropped the investigation a month later and no charges were made.
A North Texas native, Talib signed with the Broncos in March 2014 with a six-year, $54 million deal.
Talib attended school and played football at Berkner High School in Richardson.
