CARROLLTON - The search for a Grand Prairie woman came to an end Thanksgiving evening after she and her estranged boyfriend were found unharmed in a wooded area in Irving.

Earlier on Thursday, police said they were searching for Madai Cazares, 23, after she was allegedly abducted by her ex-boyfriend in Carrollton.

Cazares recently ended a relationship with Jose Eduardo Reyes, who authorities said kidnapped his ex Tuesday. The victim's mother, Maria Cazares, said their relationship was sometimes violent and that her daughter was trying to break away.

"We're very concerned for her safety and we need to find her as soon as possible," said Sgt. Pat Murphy, with Carrollton police. "The family has not seen her in a couple of days, and it is Thanksgiving and she has children. So this is not a normal thing that a normal person would do."

The victim was taken against her will in the 2900 block of Belmeade Drive. The abduction was reported the next day, police said.

The victim's mother said surveillance video at her daughter’s job in Carrollton showed Reyes force her daughter into his car and drive away. Her daughter's car, purse and cellphone were left behind.

Reyes was reportedly driving a 2002 to 2004 blue Suzuki Aerio with right front damage and Texas plates BP6-J911. He's also been known to drive a '97 green Ford F-150 with Texas plates 20W-1058.

Carrollton police say Reyes was arrested and has been charged with kidnapping, a third degree felony.

Police say this is the vehicle Reyes was reportedly driving at the time of the kidnapping.
