Man shot while recording music at Arlington home, police say

Police are asking for the public's help as they investigate a shooting that left a man with fatal wounds.

ARLINGTON, Texas — An Arlington man was fatally shot during an argument while recording music early Thursday morning at a residence, police said in a statement released later in the afternoon.

Police said they were called at about 2:16 a.m. to the residence in the 1500 block of Darby Drive. Upon their arrival, officers found a man in his mid-20s shot. Authorities said suspects involved in the case had already fled the scene.

Investigators said they believe the vicim became involved in an argument while recording music with four other people, one of which pulled out a handgun. 

"A struggle ensued, and the victim was shot," read the police statement. "The suspects then left the scene with several items from the residence."

Authorities said the victim's identity will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Officer after family members are notified.
