Man, 29, shot and killed after altercation with two others, Dallas police say

The man was in "an altercation" with two people. One of them pulled out a gun and shot the 29-year-old man several times, police said.

DALLAS — A 29-year-old man was shot and killed early Monday after an altercation with two people, Dallas police said. 

Dallas police said Nicholas Edwards was shot around 12:45 a.m. in the 3100 block of Mahanna Street near Cedar Springs Road. 

Edwards was in "an altercation" with two people. One of them pulled out a gun and shot Edwards several times, according to police. 

The two suspects were seen getting into a red Dodge Charger and driving northbound on Lemmon Avenue, police said.

No one has been arrested in the case. Edwards was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
